A Toast to Toast

Toast, you are the perfect breakfast, especially when you are loaded with delicious goodness on top.


You are my go to breakfast. You are so versatile, you don't even need a recipe with amounts. And you take less than 5 minutes to make, and for that, I thank you.


This time I topped you, delicious whole grain toast, with the usual:

  • peanut butter

  • cinnamon

  • flax seed meal

  • banana

  • granola

This breakfast has a great amount of fiber and protein. It satisfies me and keeps me full!


So please raise your coffee cup with me... to toast!


A quick toast to flax seed... it is great for you!


In the 8th century, King Charlemagne even passed laws requiring his subjects to eat it because he believed so strongly in its health benefits! Flaxseed is full of omega 3 fatty acids (the "good" fats), antioxidants, and fiber. It also helps reduce inflammation. Some studies show it may reduce the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and bone disease.


Also, to get the most nutrition out of flax seed, grind it or buy flaxseed meal. Our bodies have a hard time digesting all of it in its whole form. Store in the freezer so it lasts longer.
